FAQ

1. What is the cut off time for ordering?

Although our team will always try to accommodate your orders and edits where possible, more notice will allow us to ensure we have availability of stock and your order is delivered on time. Please place your orders a minimum of 24 hours prior to your required delivery time. All same day orders incur a 20% surcharge. If you require a late order (within 24 hours of delivery), please place your order online and call us to confirm receipt.

 

2. What is the cut off time for cancelling my order?

If your plans change and you need to cancel your order, please do so by logging in online and clicking ‘cancel’ next to the relevant order. You will not be able to cancel your order after 2pm the day before delivery, so please call us to confirm. Please note that we do not take same day cancellations and your order will be invoiced in full.

 

3. How do you serve/deliver my catering?

For orders that are unserviced/drop off only (without Art of Catering service staff), our cold platters arrive ready to go, displayed beautifully on high quality, airtight black plastic platters. These platters are ready for service so simply remove the lid and serve or store in your fridge until ready for service. All our hot food options arrive in large foil containers, transported in our portable ovens, to keep temperatures at a maximum. If you require black platters to transfer hot food onto for service, you can order these online under the “Disposables” tab.

If you require crockery, glassware, alcohol, tea and coffee or service staff, please contact us via phone or email to arrange a quote or addition to your order.

 

4. How do I pay my account?

For quick and easy payment, pay online via credit card! On receiving your invoice via email, simply login to your account from our home page (password reset also available), click on previous orders and you will see a pay now button next to each outstanding invoice. Yes – we accept AMEX! For EFT, direct deposit details are listed on the invoice and all our accounts are 14 days, unless arranged otherwise.

Reconciling your accounts? To view previous invoices/paid receipts, login to your account and click on previous orders.

 

5. I can't login to my account

When you sign up as a member, you will receive an automatically generated password, sent to the email you use to register your account. Some firewalls will block this email so please check your junk mail or if you need to reset your password, you can do so from our home page (top right corner where it says “login”). If you are still having trouble logging in, please contact us via phone or email (07) 3613 0022 or contact@artofcatering.com.au.

 

6. I am having trouble logging my order online

7. I have a special dietary requirement

We cater for a wide range of dietaries including dairy, gluten and meat free dishes, Halal options and other dietary sensitivities. When logging your order, simply enter your exact or suspected dietaries in the “Dietary Requirements” field under the order details and our chefs will check your order to ensure it covers your dietaries.

Please note, that although every effort is made (including fresh knives, boards and first order/run of the day) to keep your order free from contaminants such as gluten, nuts, fish, eggs and soy, all our food is made in a facility that contains these ingredients. If you have a guest with a very serious allergy, we suggest they purchase a pre-packaged/sealed meal bought in specifically to cater or perhaps BYO.

 

8. How much should I order and what size are your platters?

Our platters range from 37cm to 40cm in diameter. A medium cold platter includes one platter and a large includes two platters (unless specified in the “info” description next to the menu item). In general, a medium serves 7-12 people and a large serves 12-17 people.

With regards to sandwiches, we recommend ordering 1 and a half sandwiches per person (especially catering for a crowd of gentlemen). All our online platters are designed as finger food and are cut into smaller portions to assist with ease of service. If you would like us to check your order for appropriate quantities, mention in the order comments how many people you are catering for and we can check for you. Otherwise, simply contact us for a quote contact@artofcateirng.com.au.

 

9. Do you offer customised catering for special events?

Art of Catering caters for a range of different events and functions including outdoor BBQ's, executive luncheons, individually packaged lunches, private functions and large events such as festivals and sporting events.
